Agreement
By accessing or using Moji ("the Service"), provided by Frequency AI Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), registered in England and Wales (Company number 16990328), you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use Moji. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these terms.
The Service
Moji is an office suite consisting of Docs, Slides, and Sheets, available as a web application, desktop application, and headless server mode. The Service includes real-time collaboration, cloud sync, and AI agent integration.
The Service is provided "as is" and may be updated, modified, or discontinued at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of significant changes where practical.
Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. This includes:
- Keeping your authentication credentials secure
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised
You must provide accurate information during registration.
Your Content and Data
You retain full ownership of all content you create, upload, or store using Moji. This includes all documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and embedded assets. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content.
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, transmit, and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service, including:
- Storing and syncing your documents via our cloud infrastructure
- Maintaining synchronisation state for real-time collaboration
- Storing embedded assets (images, files) associated with your documents
- Broadcasting real-time edits and presence data to workspace members
This licence terminates when you delete your content or your account.
Local-First Design
Moji operates on a local-first design. Your workspace is a directory on your filesystem containing your files in open, plain-text formats. Cloud sync is optional. When enabled, your data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is restricted to authenticated workspace members.
You are responsible for maintaining backups of your local workspace data. While we maintain version history and snapshots for synced workspaces, we do not guarantee recovery of data that has not been synced.
AI Features
Moji supports AI agent integration. You may connect AI agents from your preferred provider to assist with document creation, editing, and analysis. By using AI features, you acknowledge:
- AI agents access your workspace files via your local filesystem
- Your API keys for AI providers are stored locally on your device
- You are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content before sharing or publishing
- AI-generated content is attributed and trackable within version history
- Your use of AI agents is subject to the terms and policies of the respective AI provider
Workspaces and Collaboration
Workspaces support multiple members with role-based access (owner, editor, viewer). As a workspace owner, you are responsible for managing access and ensuring that invitations are sent only to intended recipients.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service in compliance with all applicable laws. You may not:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to store unlawful content
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- Interfere with, disrupt, or place unreasonable load on the Service or its infrastructure
- Share your account credentials or allow others to access your account
- Use automated systems to access the Service in ways that exceed reasonable use
- Circumvent or attempt to circumvent access controls or workspace permissions
- Transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code through the Service
Intellectual Property
The Moji name, logo, visual identity, and all software comprising the Service are the intellectual property of Frequency AI Ltd. You may not use our trademarks without prior written permission.
Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third-party infrastructure providers for cloud hosting, authentication, and content delivery. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms. We are not responsible for the availability or conduct of third-party services.
Availability and Support
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance when possible. Support is provided on a reasonable-efforts basis via email.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Frequency AI Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from or relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) £100.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Frequency AI Ltd, its officers, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
Termination
You may delete your account at any time through the application. Upon account deletion, all personal data is permanently removed within 30 days. You may export your data at any time prior to deletion. Moji files are stored in open, portable formats.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, with notice where practical. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, but your ownership of your local files is unaffected.
Governing Law and Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice within the application at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Severability
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
